What we’re looking for
For this role, we’re looking for someone who is people focused with solid experience of coaching and supporting multidisciplinary teams to embed an agile mindset. You’ll need to be skilled in building relationships and establishing safe and supportive team cultures alongside knowing how and when to implement the right agile processes and methodologies. You’ll have experience in defining and utilising metrics to measure success and track pace of delivery and leading teams to continually improve.

What you’ll do as a delivery manager
You’ll enable our teams to work well together, creating an environment where all members of our multidisciplinary teams feel safe and able to challenge and contribute ideas. You’ll help them to understand one another and our users and focus on the priorities.

You’ll coach and facilitate your team to work in an agile, self organising way; crafting a culture of learning and continuous improvement. You’ll be championing your team's work with stakeholders and getting ahead of risks and blockers to delivery by facilitating effective workshops, ceremonies and rituals.

You’ll be a part of our delivery team and community of practice, which is a non-hierarchical, supportive, encouraging space for our delivery people to come together and share experiences and develop our discipline. We use tools like our capability framework and training initiatives such as coaching circles to aid our individual development.

How to apply

  • A strong understanding of agile approaches and workflows and expertise in managing agile projects to deliver work which is within scope, on time and of a high quality.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, able to foster a feeling of safety and employ self-awareness, self-management and neutrality as needed, as well as designing and running meetings with clear purpose, using a mix of activities, tools and techniques to achieve desired outcomes

Flexible working options
We’re a flexible employer, so this role may suit anyone who’d prefer a flexible arrangement to help their work/life balance. We’re usually flexible on location too, however some roles may require you to be based in a certain location, many of our colleagues spend most of their time working remotely.

The National Citizens Advice Operates from offices in England and Wales, with 4 regional offices based in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds, therefore all successful applicants must be based within England or Wales.
