We have an opportunity for a Senior Neuro/MSK Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern Monday - Friday, covering the occasional Saturday.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 4 years post qualification Physiotherapy experience especially in MSK assessment and treatment.
- A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Full Clean Driving Licence.
- Experience in Neurology
- Previous experience of treating a wide range of MSK conditions, post-op orthopaedic patients and complex neurological patients
Duties of this role include:
- To undertake a comprehensive assessment of MSK and Neurological patients including those with diverse or complex needs.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess treatment programmes as an autonomous therapist and work effectivly with the wider MDT.
- To be responsible for the day to day running of the out-patient and in patient rehabilitation department. This will include managing a patient caseload; mentoring other staff and the business development of the out-patient service
- To ensure the necessary processes are in place to support the day to day running of the out-patient department within a safe governance framework
