Have you thought about working for CAMHS and have a passion for young people’s mental health? Working in a very friendly, dynamic and supportive CAMHS, we have an exciting opportunity for several qualified or soon to be qualified Psychologists to join established teams including Learning Disability CAMHS and Intensive Home Treatment team. We are happy to combine/split the posts to support your development and interests and provide opportunities in core CAMHS or for ND assessments.

This post in LD CAMHS is a Band 8a post, but we are also able to offer it as a preceptorship post for newly or soon to be qualified Psychologist (Band7/8a). We really want to hear from you. It is an exciting time for the service as we grow and expand our offer to the young people and families of North Derbyshire. Working alongside an already well established team we have a well-developed clinical supervision programme. If you’re keen to develop particular interests within child & adolescent mental health, come and talk to us about how we could support that. We are happy to consider part time hours also. Wehave well established links with the training courses and regularly have several trainees on placement.

Our workforce comes from various professional backgrounds and there are opportunities for building up professional networks within the service. We value the diversity of our clinicians and the different skill sets that they bring with them. We offer flexible working, and have special leave and staff support policy in place.

We are firmly rooted in the founding principles of the NHS, and we have built on this by “Leading the Chesterfield Way”, and with our Proud to CARE values. This means leading with care, openness, integrity and embedding an inclusive culture. We know that people have a life and responsibilities outside of work and we offer flexibility and a whole raft of support to care for your physical and mental wellbeing. This role is hugely important to us and we look forward to hearing from you.

Our main hospital is on a greenfield site with abundant countryside, lovely views, beautiful landscaping and outdoor gym- it's easy to access green space at break times which offers an opportunity to de-stress.

Our new building, which is close by, is located in a historic market town and on the doorstep of Sheffield, a vibrant, multi-cultural/cosmopolitan city.

Both sites are easily accessible from the M1 and the A61 and the local train station is nearby.

All our teams have excellent track records and you will have the support of colleagues from a variety of disciplines across CAMHS. We are able to support the post holder with a variety of CPD opportunities if they would also like to gain experience, training and skills in other parts of the CAMHS service e.g. developing specific therapeutic skills, ND Assessments, working within the other teams within CAMHS.
