Transportation Manager, CDS Global Transportation

Catalent Pharma Solutions are looking to recruit a Transportation Manager to join our global import/export team. This role is a remote position.

As the Transportation Manager you will support Clinical Supplies Global Transportation, Supply chain and Third Party Couriers for Catalent’s Clinical Supplies Services (CSS) business unit. Position will support the clinical supplies transport needs for Catalent CSS sites in EU and UK.

The Role

• Partner with Site Operational, Project Management, and Business Development teams to develop optimal clinical supplies transport solutions for pharmaceutical clients’ projects.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Business Development and Client Services teams in the areas of global import/export, transportation, and logistics.
• Manage regional relationships with key Third Party Couriers to provide global coverage for CSS Distribution needs from EU and UK facilities.
• Manage and participate in Courier governance reviews as required.
• Advise and answer queries for BD/CS on shipment requirement: Cost comparison and modelling requests; Couriers – type and strategy; Import / Export requirements.
• Participate in proposal development and client meetings as required.
• Assist internal Procurement teams with Courier contract negotiations as required.
• Participate in proposal development and client meetings as required.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Secondary / High School Education is required.
• Relevant Industry experience is essential with proven experience at a managerial level
• Global transportation and logistics experience
• Knowledge and experience in cGMP and FDA, EU and UK regulations
• Experience of working with Third Party transport vendors
• Strong team player with the ability to function well in a matrix environment.
• Some travel to customers and Catalent Sites is required (25% travel)
