HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?


As a Senior Watches Product Manager you will be responsible for developing and creating the conditions for success of Cartier Watches business development in the UK & Ireland. You will define and implement the Watches local marketing strategy, in line with the international strategy. This includes building in-depth analysis and understanding of the sales results to drive action plans boosting sales, lead & promote Watches 360’ projects, action plans, and all related activities focusing on key launches and work hand in hand with all stakeholders to ensure strong and on time deliverable.

STRATEGY & ACTION PLANS:

  • Adapt the WW directions to the UK market specifics and clearly identify top business, image and clients’ priorities, in close relationship with the Head of Marketing & Merchandising.
  • Set the annual sales target, Budget and LE forecast in coordination with the network.
  • Maximise new launches sales and visibility; suggest, develop, implement and follow-up 360’ action plans.
  • Follow-up along the year on the related projects/action plans per sub-segment or per main product launch, and report progress, challenges and outcomes of the
  • Get a refined understanding of the competition: products, prices, network, clients, strategy - and follow-up closely on evolutions/new actions.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL SUPPORT:

Sales Management

  • Participation in the ordering forecasts on a regular basis working with Merchandising.
  • Regular and in-depth analysis of sales results, qualitative and quantitative, with a novelty focus.
  • Working closely with Sales (Retail, Ext. Partners & E-com) and Client teams to help beat sales targets.

Product Offer

  • Pilot and communicate on the novelties launch plan and manage the local implementation & maximisation of all new launches.
  • Keep developing in-range creations sales & visibility.

Product Expertise

  • Develop a strong knowledge of the product category from a technical, storytelling, clients and commercial point of view.
  • Create/Update tools to support the launches or range: Product News, Tariff Books, adhoc catalogues or mappings.
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to develop training programmes.
  • Validate the UK retail prices in coordination with Merchandising/RID.

Network support

  • Work closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising and E-commerce teams to optimise the visibility & assortments in the network, ensuring a smooth omni-channel client experience.
  • Be a major point of contact on the product category for all networks: support the Ext. Partners network with Marketing initiatives, regular boutiques briefings, follow-up on selected urgent/VIP clients’ requests, etc.
  • Lead or be strongly involved in the commercial activations linked to Watches: physical, digital, in all permanent network and temporary locations to achieve image and sales objectives.
  • Follow up of the internal Watch community: organise/animate regular meetings with key stakeholders and across networks, support them, answer their questions, and provide them with the tools needed.

Communication & External Partners collaboration

  • Work closely with the Press & PR team to promote Cartier creations and build the brand awareness such as new collections amplification, shootings product selections, endorsement.
  • Support the Media & Digital team with media plans, media partnerships and digital content creation.
  • Collaborate with the Events team to ensure the best client experience and lead the novelties or related products events.
  • Maintain & develop further the relationship with Department Stores Marketing teams to ensure the best sales and coverage across all physical and digital touchpoints.

Watches & Wonders local management

  • Coordinate the W&W for Cartier UK: introducing the latest novelties, developing adhoc documents, participating to VIP clients, Ext. Partners and Business Partners appointments.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Be the point of contact and the referent for H.Q. and European teams: Marketing, Communication, Clients and Commercial teams on Watches.
  • Be influential / build strong relationships with all key stakeholder operating on the Watch segments to ensure that Cartier UK gets a “fair” amount of support and allocations vs. market size and potential.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

  • 1 6-month intern co-management (shared with another Product Manager)
  • + Cross department Project Leader on selected related transversal initiatives.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Strong previous marketing experience especially serving high-end brands or a refined understanding of luxury.
  • Previous experience or strong interest in the watch market.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; International culture would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and affinity with numbers.
  • Organized, pragmatic, able to manage & build from scratch new projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Pro-active behaviour, inner drive.
  • Results-oriented person, “ROI culture”.
  • Flexible mind-set and quickly adaptable person.
  • Must be detail oriented and have a passion for thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
