Product Marketing Professional

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic product marketer for an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for part of our office workspace print portfolio.

Working within the Canon UK Digital Printing and Solutions you will manage a portfolio of document solutions that are pivotal to B2B organisations from Home Office workers through to large corporations. Organisations who are looking to enhance their document output and who are looking to accelerate Digital Transformation objectives in line with hybrid working initiatives.

What we ask

You will:

• Own product lifecycle management for all elements of the product portfolio, including successful launch and exit of products
• Define product positioning and promotional offering, to support our channels and increase our market share
  • Through thorough market analysis (incl competitor positioning) help set business targets, manage the product budget process and then monitor Canon UK and Ireland progress
  • Build and publish a product marketing strategy to achieve product objectives within relevant channels & sectors
  • Provide scheduled management reporting on portfolio performance. Develop necessary reporting and co-ordinate the targeting of sales activities and forecasting
  • Own service plan & profitability promotion for the portfolio, both Canon & channel partners.
  • Spokesperson for product portfolio at key internal & external events with the ability to position the portfolio to different audiences and tailor content appropriately
  • Own and implement required lead generation activity to drive pipeline for the portfolio, across all channels, working with appropriate marketing colleagues (campaign, channel) and key sales channel stakeholders
  • Drive sales enablement through adaptation/creation of sales ready application and product content, tailored by route to market, and proactively communicated / regularly reinforced through all available platforms, tools and forums
  • Identify capability needs and fulfill requirements to equip sales personnel across all channels with the appropriate knowledge, skills and tools related to the product portfolio

You will need

As the B2B Product Marketing Professional, you will possess the following skills and expertise:

• Previous experience and successful track record in B2B Product Marketing within a Technology sector
• Experience working with direct sales teams and indirect partner teams, including distribution partners, e-tailers and e-commerce
• Proactive self-starter, able to overcome obstacles and deliver within agreed time-frames.
• Blends creative approach with analytical substance
• Strong cross-functional and relationship building skills, being able to collaborate with multiple stakeholder across sales, support functions and Canon Europe
• Excellent communicator who can influence key stakeholders and develop compelling stories that resonate with the audience
• A passion for technology; to know how products, software and services come together to create and add value for our customers
• Familiarity with Scan, Print, Multi-Functional Devices, Print Management Solutions and Workflows would also be highly beneficial
• Degree in Marketing or CIM qualified preferred

Further Information

Salary – starting from £40,115 depending on experience plus excellent bonus scheme and benefits.

Location – Canon UK & Ireland, Stockley Park, Uxbridge

This is a hybrid working role, with some days in the office and some days working from home
