Factory Operative

Due to continued growth, Calder Masonry Ltd are recruiting for factory operatives to join our busy team. This is a great opportunity for a positive, self-motivated, and energetic person to be part of a forward-thinking friendly company.

Calder Masonry Ltd are a quarry operator and manufacturer. We are one of the largest producers of dimensional York stone in the UK, supplying Woodkirk Yorkshire Sandstone across the UK and to the Republic of Ireland.

The Role: Your main responsibilities as a factory operative will be working manually in the different areas of the stone production factory. This is a hands-on role where you will learn new skills and abilities. Stone industry experience as a factory operative in walling production or as a stone sawyer would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. A fork-lift licence is also an advantage but again training can be provided for this.

As a factory operative you will be based on site at Britannia Quarries, Morley working as part of the production team.
