Salary: Competitively commensurate with experience

Working Hours: 8:30 – 5:00pm Monday – Friday

Holidays: 25 + Bank Holidays

About the Role

We’re looking for a network and telecoms engineer to join our Clevedon-based team. You will be supporting our customers across the UK with telephone and on-site support, being the first point of contact for any technical issues or queries.

  • The day-to-day job role will include:
  • Providing telephone support to customers
  • Installing telecom and network solutions on site
  • Diagnosing and solving telecoms and network problems
  • Configuration and provisioning of network and telecoms equipment, both in the office and on-site, including:
  • VoIP user provisioning
  • CAT5 cable patching
  • Access point configuration
  • SIM and router configuration and provisioning
  • Event WiFi solutions
  • Working closely with the technical team and reporting to the Technical Services Manager
  • Keeping the CRM and support ticketing software up to date
  • Providing our customers with a prompt and friendly service throughout your daily duties
  • Critical and analytical thinking, pragmatic problem solving
  • Offering suggestions to help innovate and evolve our existing solutions and products, as well as offering insight into ways to forward the business

The role will involve working in the field–so willingness to travel (company Vehicles available) and work on site with other members of the technical team is required. The role will also include office-based work, configuration and technical support over the telephone.

We’re a customer focused team, and as an engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the best possible customer service to our client base, ensuring their communications and connectivity environments are running smoothly and effectively.

What we’re Looking for

The ideal candidate will be experienced with configuration and support of telecoms and networking equipment, including routers, switches, access points, desk-phones and their associated software/firmware.

The right candidate for this role will have:

  • At least 2 years of network and/or telecoms experience
  • At least 1x qualification pertinent to the job description
  • Preferably at least 1 year of connectivity experience (broadband/4G/satellite)

The right candidate will be able to simplify complex problems, process projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically. Have a mindset for problem solving and analytical thinking.
