Night Personal Assistant/Carer/Support Worker £12.75 Per Hour
Moulton, Northamptonshire
A Personal Assistant / Carer / Support Worker is required to join a team in supporting a gentleman to continue to live in his own home. The gentleman lives at home with his family, 2 small friendly dogs and a cat.
Contracted to 24 hours per week, work will be scheduled as two 12 hour shifts 7:30pm to 7:30am per week. Shifts are worked in pairs and are on a 6 week rolling rota. All shifts are covered internally so in the event of sickness and annual leave this is covered by the team.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate for this position will have some level of experience within a similar job role, a caring nature and the ability to work well as part of a team.
The gentleman requires 24 hour ventilation through his tracheostomy. He has full mental capacity and wishes to remain as independent as possible.
The gentleman will also require assistance and encouragement from his staff to carry out his physiotherapy at home to further his progress in his recovery.
Support includes:
- Carrying out personal care tasks such as Toileting, Washing and showering.
- Meal preparation
- Administering medication
- Clinical care (Tracheostomy, suctioning and ventilation support)
- Assisting the client to access the community and place of work
- Moving and handling

The right candidate must be conscientious, flexible and willing to learn.
Experience:
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Essential Requirements:
The Candidate must have a Full UK Manual driving licence as driving the mobility van is an essential part of this role.
A good level of both written and spoken English is essential due to the complex nature of the package.
