During these uncertain times we’ve created a new role; Home Assistant – to contribute to the safe running of our care homes through housekeeping, kitchen and admin support. We’re looking for individuals who want to support residents in their local community right now to join us at Berkeley House Care Home, Hull.
Working hours and salary
£10.35 - £11.25
Bank contracts available.

What your typical day involves
Whilst there’s unlikely to be a typical day for a Home Assistant, you may be asked to:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the home, working with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Provide administrative support to the Home Manager, including emails, telephone calls and personnel file management.
Help to tailor activities to our residents including exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, the possibilities are endless!
Assist the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
Serve meals and drinks to residents in the dining areas and to their rooms.
Organise and maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use.
Overall, ensure our residents are happy and comfortable - supporting with any related duties.

You’re friendly and caring, someone who wants to make a difference to people’s lives – no matter how big or small that difference may be. A great communicator, you’re happy rolling your sleeves up and getting involved, always completing your work to a high standard in an organised way. Working in a close-knit team, multi-tasking and taking on different roles, you’ll wear many hats, but importantly, you’ll laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.
