We are commercial property specialists operating across the UK. At Bruntwood, we're committed to offering more than just outstanding office, coworking, retail and lab spaces. Everything we do is tied into our vision of building vibrant communities, whilst providing businesses with the support and expertise they need to grow.

Job purpose:

You’ll work within the Lease Transactions department (our in house legal team), drafting and completing a high volume of agreements, leases, licences with new and existing customers of Bruntwood, as well as assisting our solicitors. Giving you an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced Solicitors in the property field.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drafting new agreements for lease, leases, licences and other ancillary legal documents from standard precedent documents

  • Providing title information and replies to commercial property standard enquiries.

  • Working with surveyors and solicitors to negotiate lease terms and complete letting transactions.

  • Dealing efficiently with any post completion matters and ensuring that lease details and deeds are entered into systems correctly.

  • Making Land Registry applications.

  • Responding to ad hoc queries from other departments and customers.

  • Processing and advising on break notices.

  • Being responsible for your own workload, ensuring that matters are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining high levels of service to Bruntwoods’ existing and potential customers.

  • Providing regular assistance to our solicitors.

What we’re looking for:

  • An academic background with a passion for law, whether that be a law degree or a conversion.

  • Previous experience in a professional legal capacity would be great, however this isn’t a must. Ultimately we’re looking for people with a passion for law and an eagerness to learn

  • Experience in a customer service capacity will be advantageous as you’ll be working closely with Bruntwood clients on a regular basis

  • Excellent communication skills via email, phone and face to face along with practical experience of handling customer enquiries

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills

  • You’ll be inquisitive and proactive when seeking operational improvements and developing new ways of working

We really believe that if you’re brilliant to work with, you deserve brilliant things in return:

  • Flexible working and a beautiful office space

  • Up to 8% matched pension

  • Volunteer time off - there are endless opportunities for you to get involved in supporting the causes that matter most to you

  • 25 days holiday, buy & sell holidays (plus you get your birthday off work!)

  • Private healthcare

  • Life assurance

  • Healthcare cash plan

  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave

  • We offer support with qualifications as well as providing other opportunities for learning and development.

There’s also plenty more to have a look at on our website.

Our ambition is to make Bruntwood a truly diverse and inclusive place to work, reflective of the communities we live and work in. To help us to achieve this we encourage applications from ethnic minorities, disabled people, and those who are neurodiverse. Join us and you’ll be part of our journey to creating something even better, for our customers and ourselves.
