The Role

We are looking to recruit highly motivated candidates that will be joining our POWERPLANT TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP (TSG) team within the Engineering organisation. Our Powerplant TSG engineers provide continuous support the whole BA Mainline fleet as well as the BA Euroflyer fleet, looking after all our engines and APUs.

The successful candidates will be offered a position in our Engineering team, based at the BA Engineering HQ (Heathrow airport) and will be delivering technical expertise in operational support to the daily operation, managing the safety, reliability, technical performance and cost of ownership of the BA fleet of engines and APUs.

BA operates one of the largest fleets in the world, with a wide variety of aircraft engines that power all our Airbus and Boeing aircraft across the globe. Our powerplant fleet includes well consolidated engines such as the V2500, GE90 and RR Trent 800 & 900 up to the latest state of the art Trent 1000, XWB & LEAP engines, with multiple different APU models that provide endless opportunities and technical challenges in such a demanding sector.

All our technical support engineers are responsible for leading the Engineering activities to prevent and/or recover AOGs worldwide, driving safe, efficient and expedient actions in support of Engineering and Airline operational needs.

The candidate will need to have a solid Aerospace Engineering technical background, with the ability to hold CAA / EASA approvals and BA company approvals, hold an HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject, recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience, B1 / B2 Licence without Type rating, the ability to hold and exercise EASA. Part 145 Technical Engineer / Part21 CCE or CVE approvals will also be a qualification to highly consider for the role.

Please note these positions are shift based roles. As your career develops in Engineering you will get the opportunity to participate in specialist training including type training, manufacturer delivered systems training and several internal career development options.
