About the Role
In your role as Graphic Designer you will be required to carry out the following:
- Work under the direction of the Studio Manager
- Liaise with the Studio Manager, Specialists departments and the Marketing team to develop creative design ideas
Key Responsibilities
- Produce precise and accurate marketing assets, both digital and print.
- Page creation for catalogues with and without the guidance of paste-ups, conforming to the Brand guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects with the ability to prioritise workflow.
- Follow instructions given by senior designers.
- Assess colour proofs with specialist departments.
- Colour correcting images using ADOBE CS packages
- Correcting and altering pages layout as required
- Preparing files to send to print.
- Scanning and loading images onto the auction system.
- Uploading finished artwork to various FTP sites.
- Good file management
- Keeping an accurate record of any additional tasks.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Good knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite software, with particular expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
- Experience in a professional, creative and fast-paced studio environment
- Experience working on OSX operating systems
- Excellent creative and technical art working skills, catalogue page layout and production skills, a strong understanding of brand guidelines and experience in working with and without pre-designed templates and creating quick and accurate digital proofs
- Good communication skills with the ability to put forward creative designs in clear and professional manner
- A good understanding of colour management
- Full understanding of print production and the formulation of print-ready artworks for press.
- Create print ready PDF files for print production, correctly profiled for relevant media/publications and able to create page turning catalogues for website
- The ability to work on multiple projects at one time, under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A good working knowledge is required for image clipping paths and shadow work as well as colour correction
- An acute eye for detail, strong organisational skills and great efficiency
- Possible future HTML marketing applications, after sufficient internal training on systems
