THE POSITION
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our UK business for a bright and business orientated Finance Analyst to be part of our Finance Controlling Function supporting the Animal Health business.
In the role, you will act as a provider of financial information within the finance function, as well as extract, review and analyse data from multiple business functions.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely, reliable, and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level.
- Support the system inputs for budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans for local and corporate stakeholder review.
- Providing financial information and appropriate explanations to assist key stakeholders to understand financial figures within the context of their role.
- Support the maintenance of financial systems integrity on an ongoing basis
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the income statement on an ongoing basis.
- Developing technical knowledge and experience of current accounting and financial practices to comply with internal and external accounting practices and requirements.
- Active member of the Finance team to share knowledge and best practice as appropriate to ensure adequate cover and increase knowledge within the team.
- Follow all company procedures and processes with respect to Finance. Work within German and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP).
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone who is studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, AAT) with commercial experience, has good analytical skills, great ability to prioritise, attention to detail, is pro-active, and communicates effectively to both finance and non-finance professionals.
You must have accounting systems knowledge in SAP and preferably in AfO (Analysis for Office) and Power BI and experience with German GAAP would be beneficial.
