At bMindful Psychology our team focus on providing sector leading therapeutic services and training for children and young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma, helping them improve their emotional and psychological well-being.

Our clients include:

  • residential childcare & education providers
  • local authorities
  • other organisations both inside and outside the care sector
  • parents and carers
  • children and young people

Our blended approach to delivery means that we can support the development of environments and practice in which children can thrive, allowing our clients to become truly trauma informed, supporting care teams and families to provide consistency and providing positive outcomes through a variety of therapeutic and supportive services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to work alongside our dedicated Clinical Team at bMindful Psychology. The successful candidate will support the business in carrying out assessments and psychometric testing, under direction from a Clinician.

You will evaluate outcomes of the assessments undertaken and summarise in reports for the Care Homes and Local Authorities. You will also have an opportunity to support our wider business development team in producing online content and delivery of training.

You will receive regular clinical supervision, have the support of a dedicated clinical team around you and give you an opportunity to expand your experience of working with children and young people in a variety of settings.

Candidates must have a degree in psychology or related subject and be an eligible graduate member of the BPS, have experience of working with young people with complex needs and have skills in engaging those who may be difficult to build relationships with. You should have the ability to apply knowledge of psychological theories to health and social care and have an approach that reflects the PACE model. Good IT skills, ability to manage your own workload and strong team working ethic are a must.

Based in the North-West you will be required to travel and will be compensated for your fuel costs, have access to our Simply Health Scheme and a contributory pension scheme. You will also have access to a wide range of training opportunities whilst gaining experiential learning with the professional team around you.
