As our business continues to grow, we now have the opportunity for a Software Tester to join our highly skilled in-house Agile Scrum Team.

You'll work with emerging technologies and play a key role in a number of exciting projects. Working within a supportive team, you‘ll be assisting in the quality assurance of both our existing and new software solutions. You’ll also help to continue best practice for testing and learn to create and complete automated regression testing suites.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Translating requirements, defining and completing functional test suites, cases and steps
  • Writing automated regression tests across our product set
  • Assist in developing our continuous deployment and integration framework
  • Supporting our end users to document and complete User Acceptance Testing
  • Contributing to daily stand-ups, collaborative planning and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Assisting in the migration of our on-premise infrastructure to the cloud

What we need from you:

  • At least one year of commercial experience in a similar role
  • A logical and analytical mind with natural problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Some experience in the following skills would be beneficial:
  • Manual Functional Testing to Acceptance Criteria
  • Selenium (or similar)
  • C# (or similar)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Exploratory & Regression Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Performance Testing

Overview of your Training Plan

Phase One

  • Integration to the Agile Software Development Team and Scrum Practices
  • Overview and foundational knowledge of our core product suites
  • Familiarisation with our in-house development and testing processes

Phase Two

  • Supported manual testing of more complex requirements
  • Bug testing
  • Document Test Suites and Test Cases
  • Start to write new and modify existing automated UI tests
  • Create and manage own pull requests
  • Provide feedback and steer developers to ensure Acceptance Criteria is met

Phase Three

  • API and Integration Testing
  • Build Testing Frameworks for new projects
  • Liaise with Stakeholders and manage User Acceptance Testing across the business
