Birch Selsdon has 181 sleeping spaces, working destinations, 2 restaurants, one all day Dining and one fine dining restaurant. a selection of bars, wellness centre, pottery, craft destinations and lido, along with our 200 acres of rewilded land, where cows, pigs and deer roam free, and our horticulture team grow fruit, vegetables and herbs that will be foraged to use across the site. What really makes Birch special is our people, aligned to lovingly take care of the land and hotel that we are the ambassadors, and custodians of.

As a Painter/Decorator, you are will be required to carry out projects around the property that require colour matching, surface preparation and applying paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings and other surfaces. You are a natural people person and love all the good things that Birch does. Who wouldn’t like that!

Who are you?

• A values driven individual who speaks their mind, is brave enough to be different, and believes in caring in all that you do.

• Understands the importance of good maintenance practices.

• Measuring the work area to calculate the time and materials required to complete the project

• Preparing the area

• Preparing painting surfaces, removing old paint, filling holes and cracks

• Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes, hanging wallpapers and other decorative products

• Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project

• Has an energetic, passionate and positive attitude.

• Has a good eye for detail and able to guide and inspire their team.

• A great communicator that manages their time well, you are always one step ahead.

• Enjoys working in a team, inspires others to thrive for the best service.

• Follows safety guidelines at al times.

Ideally, you would have:

1 + years in a similar role
A positive attitude and team player mentality
