An exciting opportunity has opened up working with our growing Information Analysis Team as an Information Analyst under the newly formed Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) Team.

At BCU Health Board, we believe that data helps save lives and improve outcomes for patients. Working with doctors and nurses to understand what matters for their patients, the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) Team has developed analytics that help our clinicians make better decisions and improve their services.

We are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking individual ready to develop their career within health care analytics as well as demonstrate continuous innovation to develop and improve processes that we operate to support the UEC services. A passion for presenting data through a story driven narrative and using innovative data analysis methods to influence the recipients of the data reports are key.

  • Attend meetings, present data, and engage with senior colleagues to further the needs of service.
  • Develop and maintain fit for purpose reports and analyses for the UEC team to support the Six Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care's objectives.
  • You will help in identifying trends and issues based on your analysis and expert knowledge of unscheduled care in the Health Board.
  • You will support the Specialist and Senior Information Analyst by creating a productive relationship between yourself and the operational staff along with assisting on a number of different ongoing projects.
A keen eye for the latest reporting technologies is desired to allow us to continue innovating our use of digital technologies as health care analysts.

Experience in SQL, Sharepoint and Power BI are desired however full training will be given, and there is continuous development through both peer mentoring and mentorship programmes.

There's also an opportunity to learn new and develop existing skills through collaborating with our locally driven community of health analysts, planner, managers and clinicians along with becoming a member of the Association of Professional Healthcare Analysts.

If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients.
