Optician/Optical Sales Associate

We are excited to offer the opportunity for an Optical Sales Associate to join our boutique, well-established practice in San Leandro. This is a full-time position and requires Saturday availability.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow our practice. We are located walking distance from the San Leandro BART station.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on Saturday (required)
• Optical Experience: 1 year of experience in a private practice Optometry office (not required but recommended)
• Language: Spanish (not required but recommended )
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills (required)
• Excellent computer skills (required)

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• assist patients with frame selection, styling and dispensing
• eyeglass repairs and frame adjustment
• submit eyeglasses orders and insurance billing
• verify incoming glasses and contact lens orders, inventory management
• provide contact lens insertion and removal training
• Scheduling, pre-testing, answering phones

Schedule

• Monday-Friday Hours: 9:00AM-6:00PM with a one hour lunch break from 1PM-2PM
• Saturday Hours: 9AM-4PM with a 30 minute lunch break from 12-1230PM
