HR Business Partner, News HR Projects

The HR Business Partner- Projects is a key role within the News HR Projects team responsible for supporting the successful delivery of a range of HR initiatives globally. The role will require a thorough understanding of both HR as a profession and Project Management as a discipline and methodology. Some key activities of this role includes supporting a project through analysing key data, coordinating information, producing dashboards to monitor and track progress and contributing to overall performance evaluation escalating variances and issues promptly.

Ensure project documentation is in place for all projects, consistent with the project lifecycle status escalating any gaps to the HR Projects Partners and key stakeholders as necessary.

• In addition to the CPF HRBP job role this role will be required to maintain the preparation and revision of project plans, project progress reports and presentations.
• Supporting the Senior HR BP- Projects in the entire project lifecycle, from scoping to delivery phases.
• Managing projects and providing operational project support. Tasks include coordinating with stakeholders, supporting internal meetings and streamlining the overall workflow, with the primary aim of keeping the project on schedule.
• Create and maintain key project documentation including timelines, resource plans, and meeting minutes.
• Completes analysis of HR Data, identifies trends and key observations in relation to KPIs across the HR agenda. Translates analysis into creative dashboards to provide the data to a range of stakeholders.
• Evaluates and monitor projects progress: during planning, tracking performance and monitor the projects with reference overall plans, and deliverable deadlines, and identify roadblocks and propose process improvements.
• Takes on a ‘Superuser’ role for the HR data systems for the purposes of analysis, dashboard reporting and strategic decision making within the News team and liaise with our HR systems and Data teams.
• Analysing complex data sets, drawing insights and communicating them in a clear way.
• Support with the championing of project management methodology and mindset within immediate team and wider stakeholder group.

• HR Business Partnering skills and experience
• Solid understanding of the project management lifecycle and demonstrable understanding project management principles.
• Strong MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required.
• Strong attention to detail to develop project plans, managing the inter-dependencies & critical path.
• Data analytics and HR System experience, experience in using SAP desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills exhibiting a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to prioritise duties and responsibilities to provide a high level of prompt and effective support in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage sensitive, confidential issues.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Location: Office base is London. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working
