Job purpose
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer
Our client is a 55-year-old female living in the Fordhouses area of Wolverhampton who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with personal care and domestic duties for 10.5 hours per week.
Our client suffers with Fibromyalgia, PTSD and Emotional Dysregulation and be very unsteady when mobilising around the home.
Main Duties
Social duties:
- Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
- Attend medical appointments if required
Personal care: Support with showering & hair washing.
Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen & laundry.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Hours of work: 10.5 hours per week - 2 hours per day Monday to Friday - Preferably early mornings
Rate of pay: £11.30 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
- Driving licence
- Car and appropriate insurance
- Previous care/support experience
- Confidentiality
- Good at building relationships
Preferred:
- Computer literate
- Good communicator
- Likes dogs as there are 2 small friendly dogs in the home
- A good listener
- Ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
