Glasgow or Northampton

As a Barclays Talent Acquisition Selection & Assessment Specialist, you will be joining our team being accountable for owning and driving key change project activity across Selection & Assessment, which delivers for TA, hiring managers and candidates. This is an exciting time to join such a diverse and supportive team, if you’re passionate and determined about driving change, implementing initiatives, and providing clear updates to our key stakeholders on project deliverables daily.

Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, with 329 years of success, quality and innovation behind us. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity – helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive, and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Overseeing the creation of project plans, presentations, data analysis, and various operational and strategic outputs
  • Planning appropriate follow up measures whilst minimising operating in a risk and control environment
  • Participating actively with initiatives & pan-team project work as appropriate, identifying potential impact and ensuring beneficial initiatives are developed and implemented
  • Contributing to a culture of innovation, driving, and delivering improvements and co-ordinating activities
  • Supporting internal stakeholders by presenting key updates around project activity
  • Gathering and interpreting data and insights to showcase the key outputs and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring that Talent Acquisition achieve its group commitments feeding in relevant data and meeting the timelines and commitments
  • Imparting strategic business initiatives working with key suppliers to deliver against key deliverables

What we’re looking for:
• Project management experience, with the ability to juggle priorities, multi- task and flawlessly execute at speed
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to adapt quickly to change, switching between deliverables in a fast, effective way
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, motivated, disciplined individual, resilient to a fast-paced environment and speed of delivery

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification would be ideal but not essential
  • Broad comprehension of psychometric assessments and assessment frameworks, either via qualification or hands-on experience is preferred
  • Digital enthusiasm
  • Curiosity, confidence in challenging the status quo when required would help you thrive into this role

Where will you be working?
Glasgow
Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration. A place where everyone can bring their true selves to work and reach their full potential. Home to 5,000 of our colleagues, our Tradeston campus will support the community in more ways than one - by creating thousands of new career opportunities and celebrating local artists. A short walk from Central Station on the south of the Clyde, it will be a key location for the Barclays business that will deepen our ties with the city and its communities.

Northampton
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
