Senior Test Analyst

As a Barclays Senior Test Analyst, you will be working on building a cutting-edge cloud native, micro service /service mesh-based APIs. You will be working in Kanban /agile teams with Automation Engineers, Java Developers and DevOps Engineers with a mix of on and offshore teams. You will also be accountable for defining the test strategy for the platform itself including functional, security and performance test strategies and the platforms providing a test framework to be used by the federated API development teams who build the actual apis.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Defining test scenarios and creating test scripts based on karate

• Defining test data based on wire mock our service virtualization tool

• Working with Java developers to define test scenarios from acceptance criteria

• Defining test scenarios for regressions tests for multi-application platforms such as the service mesh

• Participating in agile ceremonies providing story points and estimates for tasks

• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for:
• Karate, cucumber, or equivalent test scripting

• Wire Mock or equivalent service virtualisation tool

• Testing APIs and Web Applications

• Experience with performance testing tools

• Scenario based testing experience

• Service Mesh experience
