BAGG Engineers is a rapidly growing geotechnical/geo-environmental engineering and special inspection firm with offices in San Jose, California. We are actively seeking Special Inspectors with strong initiative who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. Good communication, writing, and organizational skills are a must; 5 to 10 years of experience preferable; competitive salary and benefits.

BAGG Engineers is looking for Special Inspector to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We need an experienced professional who is comfortable being actively engaged on construction sites performing field testing. The candidate must be able to read and understand structural blueprints and current code requirements.

Qualifications:

Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the construction quality industry, and good organizational skills. Must have a current valid driver's license and good driving record. Compensation varies with experience and certifications.

Who we are looking for. . . Special Inspectors with ANY ICC Certifications in:

• Reinforced Concrete
• Masonry
• Pre-stressed/Post-tensioned
• Soils
• Structural Steel Bolting
• AWS Welding
• (NDT) Nondestructive Welding
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1

For your safety, keep this in mind: You need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time, walk on uneven ground, perform work inside areas of varying dimensions; involving squatting and crawling for possible extended periods; work outdoors under varying temperatures and weather conditions; regularly lift and/or move 75 lbs. You will be expected to work safely during all phases of performing the job duties by following all regulations, and safety procedures and employment policies. You must have and maintain a good driving record and be insured.

• 8 hour shift with occasional overtime
