Lab Technician

Summary

A position reporting to the R&D Manager. Responsible for undertaking product quality tests, general laboratory tasks and providing assistance to the QC and R&D Team.

The Haverhill site has recently been acquired and is now part of AOC

The investment will allow AOC to further strengthen its ability to serve customers in the growing composites market in the UK. AOC has also identified potential opportunities for expanding the capabilities of the Haverhill operations to further service the industry.

Key areas of accountability/responsibility

· Analysis of in-process and finished manufactured products.

· Testing of incoming raw materials and water samples.

· Completion and administration of QC documentation

· Housekeeping laboratory equipment and area.

· Assisting with process investigations

· Undertaking routine process monitoring and testing

We are looking for

· Basic computer use. (entering results, sending certificates)

· Written communications (document completion written instructions)

· Numerate (calculation of chemical additions and results)

· Chemical handling (Training will be provided)

We offer

· 40 hour working week:

· Training period: Monday to Friday 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs

· After training completed, 07:00hr to 15:00hrs / 14:00hr to 22:00hrs,

Monday to Friday on a weekly shift rota

· Salary range £22,000 - £29,000 (dependent on experience)

· Overtime rated pay structure
