Project Lead

Alternative Airlines is a fast-growing flight search and booking site. We have built a strong online presence, www.alternativeairlines.com, with an ultra-quick flight booking capability and an expanding, global base of delighted customers.

With a new customer-focused approach to a huge, well-established market for air travel, the company has built a reputation for innovation, attention to detail and doing things differently. Alternative Airlines is enjoying high growth with yearly rates over 100% from £9m in 2020 to £28m in 2021 and £59m in 2022. We are targeting £100m in revenue by 2024.

· Working closely and communicating effectively with engineers and key stakeholders to ensure strong collaboration and buy-in on product developments.

· Being actively involved in initial project scoping.

· Being a key member of discussions around project and product prioritisation as well as the Alternative Airlines roadmap.

· Working with stakeholders to ensure products and features developed meet the needs of our customers as well as commercial objectives.

· Looking at project requirements holistically identifying potential architectural or human boundaries.

· Learning and integrating into the tech team’s culture and the way we work.

4) Work -life balance – Things outside of work matter

5) Self-development– work on projects and tasks that develop and enhance your knowledge and experience

6) Challenging problems – Endless number of interesting and complex projects to solve

We work with latest frameworks and tools such as Laravel, PHP, React and AWS.

Experience & Skills

· Proven experience in a similar tech-focused product management / owner role

· Hands-on experience and a passion for managing all stages of a project life-cycle

· An interest in people and how to get the best of them

· Experience working in a hybrid/remote environment

· Fantastic communication

· Great organisation skills

· Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies (preferred but not essential)

Benefits & Perks:
