Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Bolton within the Defence sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values of ;Excellence, Accountability, Integrity and Service.
Your new role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Defence sector.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer your main responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the Mechanical design activities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings
- Aid with process design

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a Mechanical Design Engineer and a consultant.
Experience required:
- Proficient in 3D CAD Tools in either PTC Creo, CATIA V5 or SolidWorks
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Mechanical Design engineering
- Must already be Security Cleared and be able to attain UKEO clearance
Qualifications required:
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
