Your new role:

As an Aerothermalengineeryou will be one of our quality consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace industry.

• As an Aerothermalengineeryour main responsibilities will be:
• Aerodynamic Design and Integration – Concept and product design of heat exchangers
• Thermal design of heat, thermal analysis of internal fluid flow
• Conduct CFD simulation using Star CCM+, turbulence modelling and creating meshing methodology
• Requirements and Risk Management
• Data Analysis and Python scripting

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as an Aerothermal Engineer and a consultant.

Experience required:

• Fundamental knowledge of Heat transfer and knowledge of heat management systems
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical design - background in 2D / 3D modelling, concept to manufacture capabilities which include GD&T / F&DT
• Skilled in tools such as STAR CCM+ for CFD and Python / MATLAB for scripting and modelling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with MBSE and/or Modelling & Simulation is desired but not mandatory

Qualifications required:

Degree in a relevant engineering disciple with demonstrable experience.

Salary: £21,810.00-£55,000.00 per year
