About the Position
The Sittingbourne laboratory carries out microbiological testing for a wide range of food and water clients. The site Is UKAS, and RSA approved. We currently have a vacancy for a Microbiologist to join the team on a full-time basis.
Basis: Permanent & Full Time Shift: 4 on / 4 off - 9am - 9pm
The position will be responsible for:
- Performing routine daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as assigned
- Conforming to all site Quality Management systems and Health and Safety procedures.
- Plate counting
- Completion of media QC
- Confirmation testing
- Entering of results
- Ensuring that all records are completed concisely and accurately with paperwork written in clear handwriting.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work on own initiative.
- Good communication skills, written and oral.
- Be able to accurately follow written procedures and verbal direction
- Willing to work flexibly across the breadth of duties included In the Microbiologist role
