Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Pipefitters Mate / Labourer based in Flitwick for a well-established company.

Salary: £20,500 per annum.
Location: Flitwick.
Type of Contract: Temporary Minimum 4 months, Full-time.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Must be able to work away overnight - accommodation & food provided

The role…

As the Pipefitters Mate/Labourer your role will involve the following important duties:

• Assist the Installation Engineers with large pipework installations
• Simple pipework fitting and mechanical engineering tasks.
• Drilling holes and fitting mountings, assembly of parts, and using mechanical fitting/hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers and basic power tools.
• Physical moving, lifting and positioning of compressors and equipment using mechanical lifting equipment / manual lifting.
• Working as part of a team is essential

The experience required…

As a successful Pipefitters Mate/Labourer, you will have the following:

• Mechanically minded, used to working with simple hand tools with experience of industrial fitting or maintenance / or similar useful.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Reliability and dedicated
• Physically fit, able to carry tools and equipment
• Confident with working at height on ladders and lifts.
• Team worker
• The role will require some degree of UK travel with potential for overnight stays for up to week at a time.
