About Admiral Money

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

The Role

We believe that the right way to scale our business is to intelligently automate so that our amazing colleagues can focus on the value-add interactions with our customers and other stakeholders.

Analytics and Data sits within the Chief Lending Office and is comprised of four squads with seven disciplines; we're a big team with even bigger aspirations to evolve all of the capabilities in Data. We are also asking this Scrum Master to take on the challenge of ensuring we create sustainable processes across the data disciplines that adhere to agile principles.

The Scrum Master will be responsible for embedding and continuously improving our adoption of Agile across the Analytics and Data team.

Key Duties

• Your role will be to embed Agile ways of working into all squads across the Analytics and Data team.
• You will be responsible for managing all of the Agile ceremonies and artefacts as well as ensuring that blockers are cleared for the team
• A lot of colleagues are new to the business and new to Agile therefore, you will be there to upskill everyone.
• You'll not be alone, we have scrum masters in Admiral Money and in Admiral Group and you will also play a role in promoting Agile ways of working across Admiral Money.

Essential Skills

• Good understanding of Agile techniques and principles
• Good understanding of data and data technologies
• Good skills in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience of either direct line management or agile or waterfall project management
• Experience of stakeholder management and communication - the ideal candidate will be able to speak to all levels of the organisation with concise and coherent progress updates that drive understanding of what we do.

Desirables

• Experience with working with Data teams
• Experience with leveraging cloud technologies and how we break down delivery in an Agile framework
