Someone who can build relationships and facilitate forums where diverse groups can share experiences and insight.

A practical ‘doer’ able to support people to develop their ideas and provide organisational development support that helps them sustain their ideas.

The Role

As a Community Development Worker, you will empower local people and communities to identify what matters to them and turn ideas in to action.

Through an asset-based approach you will develop deep insight in to the neighbourhood you are working in and will be able to capture, report and share this to amplify the voices of local people and the people that VCFSE organisations work with.

You will use organisational development tools and techniques to support VCFSE groups to develop and strengthen and you will promote the Action Together funding available to support community activities and support groups to identify and apply for other local and national funding pots

You will record, monitor and evaluate your work in accordance with the needs of the programme to evidence the difference made through asset based approaches (e.g. using our Civi CRM database and our online directory).

And we know it’s during half term so please don’t worry if there are kids in the background!

Salary: NJC grade 6 grade 19 to SO1 grade 25 (£27,852- £32,020 per annum)

Hours: 36 hours per week

Length of contract: Permanent (subject to continued funding)

Location: Rochdale
