Our client is a world leading company based in Cambridge that owns £3 billion worth of assets which is built up of commercial and heritage estates across the region. You will play a key part in the future development of the company sites across the region. As well as assessing the needs for new buildings and refurbishments, you will be keeping a close eye on the overall construction and cost of all ongoing projects.
What’s involved for the Building Surveyor:-
- Manage new and refurbished building projects
- Manage, lead and motivate apprentice surveyor and sub contractors
- Write up and translate technical surveys and reports
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget
- Direct project teams to achieve goals
- Negotiate fees with consultants
- Responsible for projects up to £1 million in value
- Identify and manage risks to budget
- Confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels
What you’ll need:-
- Experience in Building Surveying
- Management or leadership experience
- Good communication and written skills
- Experience of managing building projects
- Effective decision making skills
- Qualification within Building Surveying
