We have opportunities forBand 5 radiographers to join us in our Imaging departments based in Brighton with some rotation to our other sites particularly Princess Royal at Haywards Heath..

We welcome applications from final year student radiographers and qualified HCPC registered diagnostic radiographers who have an interest in working at University Hospitals Sussex and have practical radiography experience in an NHS setting and recent clinical experience in general radiography areas.

These band 5 posts are based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton (RSCH) and offer a rotation and experience of working in our paediatric department in the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital on the RSCH site and our satellite department for GP work at Hove Polyclinic. There will also be rotation to our department in Princess Royal at Haywards Heath which will include the Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre.

Brighton is an exciting city on the south coast with RSCH being a 5 minute walk away from the beach. Along with the beach the city has extensive social and shopping areas with a busy and vibrant lifestyle.

Haywards Heath is 18 miles inland close to the South Downs.

This is an exciting time to join us as in spring 2023 we move into our brand new Imaging Department on the Royal Sussex County Hospital site (RSCH) in Brighton.

As a Band 5 radiographer with us you will have the opportunity to develop your A&E experience in our busy 3 room A&E X-ray Department providing a 24 hour service for major trauma and emergency work at RSCH. This will include participating in our 24 hour cover including weekend and night duties on this site.

You will also gain experience in mobile and theatre work, general radiography, fluoroscopy and paediatric radiography rotating through our general departments at RSCH, PRH and Hove Polyclinic and also our paediatric department at RACH.

Applicants must have current HCPC registration (students will be expected to have successfully registered with the HCPC on qualification and before beginning employment) and have clinical experience in an NHS environment.

In return for your commitment to us we will provide ongoing support for your professional development, as well as a friendly, challenging and stimulating work environment.
